Title: Progress in dynamical modeling of relativistic heavy-ion collisions at high energy
Speaker: Professor Chun Shen (Wayne State University)
Abstract:
This talk will review the recent theoretical advancements in modeling the dynamics of relativistic heavy-ion collisions at high energy. I will highlight how phenomenological model-to-data can draw strong constraints on the QGP transport properties. Such a dynamical framework paves the way for quantitative QGP characterization with precision measurements in heavy-ion collisions. Furthermore, systematically studying heavy-ion collisions as functions of system size and rapidity can elucidate initial-state fluctuations rooted at different length scales and the correlation between particle multiplicity and the initial stopping power.
