Title: Deep Learning for EoS identification and heavy quark potential reconstruction

Speaker: Dr. Kai Zhou (Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies)

Abstract:

In this talk I will show two examples of using deep learning in heavy ion collisions. First I will briefly introduce the usage of Deep Learning to construct Equation-of-State (EoS) meter for HICs. Then I will explain one inverse Quantum Mechanical problem for reconstructing in-medium heavy quark interactions from lattice QCD measurements using deep learning, from which we found quite different results compared with perturbation theory based expectations, that the temperature dependence of the real part heavy quark interaction is very mild while its imaginary part shows rapid increase along with temperature.
