Description

NBIA and NQCP are jointly organizing a mini symposium on the quantum sciences on August 26-27.

The aim of the symposium is to bring together everybody at NBI and QMATH working on the quantum sciences – both theorists and experimentalists –, give junior researchers such as postdocs and assistant professors an opportunity to present their research activities, and allow researchers and students at NBI and QMATH to get an overview of the research activities in the quantum sciences that take place at University of Copenhagen.

The event features talks on various fields of quantum sciences at NBI and QMATH, including quantum optics, condensed matter physics, quantum computing, high-energy physics, and mathematical foundations for quantum mechanics. The talks will be on a broadly accessible level with a focus on giving an overview of current research activities.

The program will run approximately from 10 to 15 on Monday and Tuesday in auditorium A in NBI, including two breaks with coffee and lunch. There will also be a dinner on Monday. We intend a light format that aims to facilitate discussions between attendees and presenters.

If you would like to attend, please enter your details in the registration from homepage here.

The event is open to everybody, including students with interest in the field.

There is a limited seating capacity, and priority will be given to the first who sign up.

We look forward to seeing you!
