The course aims mainly at experimental and theoretical PhD students from the areas of particle physics and cosmology and astrophysics. The goal of the course is to provide the PhD students with detailed and state-of-the-art knowledge of the present evidence for physics beyond the standard model, with special emphasis on supersymmetry. The course will include data from particle colliders and observations from astrophysics.
The course is advertised internationally, and is open to Danish and foreign students.
It will consist of lectures and practical computer exercises, and will last 5 full days.
It gives 2.5 ECTS without exam, and up to 5 ECTS with take-home assignment.
Priority is given to PhD students.
The course will be held by two internationally renowned active researchers in the field of particle physics related to terrestrial detectors and cosmology.
