Getting from the airport to the city centre

The easiest way to get from the airport to the city centre is to use the Metro, located in terminal 3, past the entrance to the trains. You can buy a ticket on the ground floor level at the vending machines or at the desk. You will need a 3-zone ticket, which costs 36.00 DKK.

Please be aware that the fine for not having a valid ticket at is 100 €. The most common place for tickets to be checked seems to be on the metro when going towards the airport.

Getting to the Niels Bohr Institute

The Niels Bohr Institute at Blegdamsvej 17 can be found on this map.  For S-tog (eg. light train or S-bahn), metro, and bus journeys, www.rejseplanen.dk is the most reliable tool to find routes, but Google Maps also works.

We recommend that you buy a 2-zone "klippekort" which can be used 10 times. The klippekort needs to be inserted into the yellow machines at the metro stations or in the entrance to busses (at the beginning of each trip, the yellow machine marks the time and place where you started your trip on the ticket). Please note that the 2-zone "klippekort" is valid between your hotel and the Niels Bohr Institute but does not cover the trip from/to the airport (unless you clip it twice). The "klippekort" is only sold at train stations and 7-11 stores so it is a good idea to buy it when you arrive at the airport.
