The Niels Bohr Institute is situated between the lakes and the commons in Copenhagen.

By plane:
Copenhagen Airport(Kastrup Lufthavn) is close to the city and well connected by public transport.
At the end of terminal 3, straight ahead after you exit from baggage reclaim, you will
find ticket booth and information about public transport. You will need a 3-zone ticket to
get to central copenhagen. You have two choices:
- Take the metro to Nørreport St. or take the regional trains to Copenhagen central station.
- Then take the S-trains or buses to get to your hotel or the institute.
The Metro is found at the end of terminal 3, and regional trains beneath terminal 3.
Public transport:
At Rejseplanen you will find a public transport travel planner. At the bottom of the page you can switch to English.
You can walk to the institute from Østerport St. or from Nordhavn St. You can also take bus line 3A from Nordhavn which stops right in front of the Niels Bohr Institute.
Tickets are valid on all public transport (bus,train,metro,harbourbuses).
It is a good idea to buy a "Klippekort"(ten tickets in one) as they will almost halve the price.
Remember to get your ticket stamped.
Transportation:
Why not get around Copenhagen like a real Copenhagener. Many hotels offers bike rental, but it is often
quite expensive. Instead you can rent them at half the price at bike shops:

The climate in Copenhagen is mild. Normal temperatures in June is 10-20 degrees Celsius. Be prepared for showers.
Currency:
While Denmark is a member of the EU it is not a member of the Euro. The Danish currency is called the Krone (abbreviated kr.) and it's value is pegged to the euro at ~7.5 kr/euro. Major credit cards are widely accepted (one exception being supermarkets). Euros are sometimes accepted in Taxis and larger chain stores.
Visa:
Denmark is a member of Schengen. If you are a non-EU citizen contact your local embassy.
Museums:
Museums are generally closed Monday. Museums normally close at 17:00. Some are open longer on Wednesday.
Many museums are also free on Wednesdays.
Food:
You can find any type of food in Copenhagen. from the cheapest kebab shops to the best restaurant in the world. Restaurant kitchens normally close around 22-22:30. Burger and Kebab places in the center of town are open until 02-06 in the morning. Prices are generally high. Service is included and you are not expected to tip unless service was exceptional.
