The conference will be held at Ystad Saltsjöbad, and accommodation will be at the
venue itself (address: Saltsjöbadsvägen 15, 271 60 Ystad, Sweden, website: https://www.ysb.se).
Check in is available from 15:00 on Sunday, 4th May.
Travel
To Ystad Saltsjöbad Hotel
If you are arriving into Copenhagen airport (CPH): the venue can be reached by train.
There are frequent trains departing from the airport for Malmö Central station. Trains can be booked online at https://www.oresundstag.se/en , or you can buy a ticket from the machines at the airport. From there, you will be able to catch a connecting train to Ystad Station operated by https://www.skanetrafiken.se/ .
It is also possible to travel from the main station in Copenhagen (Københavns Hovedbanegård) to Malmö Central.
From Ystad Station, the venue is an approximately 2km walk, or local bus services are also available.
Return Journey
For the return journey, transport has been arranged on Friday 9th May to return to Copenhagen airport and Københavns Hovedbanegård, as per the schedule.
Outing & Conference Dinner
The outing on Tuesday afternoon is a scientific walking tour of Copenhagen. There will be a total of about 3km of walking involved, as well as clim
bing some stairs. We leave immediately after a shortened lunch and will be back before midnight. The conference dinner is in Copenhagen after the first part of the scientific tour.
13:00 Leave Ystad Saltsjöbad for the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen by private bus.
15:00 NBI mini-tour – See Niels Bohr's office and Auditorium A in the old building
16:00 Walk to the Geological Museum and mini-tour of Agpallilik and of the Old Observatory. After the Old Observatory, we walk through the gardens to the restaurant.
17:40 The conference dinner will be held at Orangeriet in Copenhagen in the Royal Gardens. We start there at about 17:40 with a group photograph.
20:30 After the dinner, we will walk to the the Round Tower, where the tower is reserved just for us for a tour.
21:50 After the tour, a bus will take us back to Ystad.
