Prof. Edward Shuryak (Stony Brook)07/11/2011, 09:30Analytic means are applied to solve for all harmonics of the flow: which then are applied to calculation of the correlation functions and the power spectrum. Like in the Big Bang, acoustic peaks are predicted. Sounds and matter excitation from jet quenching will also be discussed.Go to contribution page

Dr Konrad TYWONIUK (Lund University)07/11/2011, 16:00We describe the coherent radiation off a quark-antiquark antenna traversing a QCD medium. Features of the spectrum are discussed and relevant scales of the problem are identified. In particular, the regimes where interference effects prevail are shown to be relevant in light of the data on inclusive jets in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC.Go to contribution page

Prof. Robert PISARSKI (Brookhaven National Lab.)08/11/2011, 09:30I give a physical description of an effective model for the deconfining phase transition. Detailed results are given for the pure glue theory, and a qualitative description given of QCD.Go to contribution page

Prof. Raju VENUGOPALAN (Brookhaven National Lab)08/11/2011, 11:00We discuss an ab initio approach to the formation and thermalization of quark-gluon matter in heavy ion collisions. The phenomenological implications of our studies are emphasized.Go to contribution page

Dr Christoffer FLENSBURG (Lund University)08/11/2011, 14:45Ellipticity and triangularity are calculated using the new heavy ion initial state event generator DIPSY. The ellipticity is similar to CGC, but the triangularity is significantly larger than both Glauber and CGC. Data seems to favor the DIPSY eccentricities over both Glauber and CGC.Go to contribution page
