West-Baltic Meeting on Computational and Theoretical Astrophysics

The west-Baltic region hosts a number of research groups with overlapping interests in computational and theoretical astrophysics, with a common ground centered on the application of microphysics and fluid and particle dynamics to accretion disks, and the formation and evolution of planets, stars and galaxies.  This two-day workshop is the first in a series of meetings which will leverage on the geographical proximity of the groups in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Kiel, and Lund with the goal of strengthening the ties between them. We hope this will be a new forum which will give us the opportunity to learn more about the research of the different groups, and give – in particular more junior members – the possibility to network and forge new contacts.
