Getting from the airport to the Institute
An easy way to reach NBI from the airport is to take the train to Østerport station. From there it is a short walk to the institute. This option is also very convenient for those staying at hotel Ni Små Hjem. You will need a 3-zone ticket, which currently costs 34,50 Danish Kroner. To get from the airport to the city centre one can also use the metro. The metro station at the airport is located in terminal 3, up the stairs after the train ticket office. You can buy a ticket on the ground floor level at the vending machines or at the desk. There is also a vending machine upstairs just outside the metro platform.
The institute is about 20 minutes' walk from Nørreport station, a central transport hub. Walking directions can be found here. You could also take a bus (150S, 6A,184 or 185) from Nørreport to the stop Bledgamsvej/Tagensvej, from where it is a 5-minute walk to the institute. From Kongens Nytorv you can take bus 1A or 15 to Trianglen, from where it is a 2-minute walk to the institute.
If you plan to use public transport daily while in Copenhagen it might be better value to buy a 2-zone 10-trip "klippekort" which you have to punch twice in the yellow machines (located on the metro/train platforms) to travel from the airport to the city centre. Within the bounds of the city centre, this can then be used by punching once. The klippekort currently costs 135 Danish Kroner.
The Institute
The Niels Bohr Institute, Bledgamsvej section, can be found on this map. The school will be held in historical Auditorium A, located in the main building (which is marked "Niels Bohr Institutet"). In case the main door is locked, you can always enter through the door marked "Ekspedition" in the building to the right, and follow the signs to the auditorium.Further information on the institute and the surrounding area (including nearby restaurants) can be found here.
