We recommend to travel to FRA, which is the largest airport in Germany, and from there you can take a DB (Deutsche Bahn) train directly to Heidelberg (https://int.bahn.de/en). There are many daily train connections, usually via Mannheim, and the journey usually only takes 60 minutes.
