Travel information
Getting to Denmark
If you are travelling by train, there are international connections to Copenhagen from Germany (Hamburg) or Sweden (Malmö). The closest international airport is Copenhagen Airport (CPH), which is very well connected to public transport.
Travelling from Copenhagen to Helsingør
By public transport (recommended)
This is the fastest and most convenient option, taking approximately 1 hour if going directly from the centre of Copenhagen. Regional trains for Helsingør run regularly throughout the day, stopping at all the main train stations in Copenhagen: Central Station (København H), Nørreport Station, and Østerport Station. Ticket machines are available at all stations.
If travelling directly from the airport, you can take the metro (yellow M2 line) to Nørreport Station, or alternatively take a train to Copenhagen Central Station.
By taxi/car
Taxis from Copenhagen airport or train stations are available, though expensive. The main nationwide taxi company is Dantaxi. As with the train, this will take 45-60 minutes (depending on traffic), for a fare of approximately €150-€200. If travelling by car, paid parking is available at the hotel.
Reaching Marienlyst Hotel from Helsingør Station
The hotel is located around 1.8 km from the train station. You can either get there by foot (a scenic walk of around 25 minutes), or by taxi (see Dantaxi).
Check-In and Registration
Check in at Marienlyst will be available from 15:00 on Sunday 12 April. On Sunday, from 18:00 there will also be a dinner reception (see venue page), where it will be possible to complete your registration. Otherwise, you can register on the morning of Monday 13 April (8:00-9:00).
