Excursions

Excursions will be organized on Wednesday the 12th of June. There will be choice between two excursions (archaeological and hiking tour) that are expected to start at ~ 12h30-12h30 and last, for the longest ones, until ~19h00 .

1/ Guided tour to Epidavros and Mycenae

Duration: 11h30 to 18h30

Program: In this half-day tour you will delve in to the mythical Argolis region. You will visit two of the UNESCO world heritage sites, the famous Mycenae and the Ancient theatre of Epidaurus and enjoy at the same time the wonderful and picturesque natural scenery of the region.

12h00 Departure. Distribution of earphones on our way

12h30 Epidaurus archaeological UNESCO site visit. You will witness the wonder that is its Ancient Theater which is the most beautiful and the best preserved among all the ancient theatres, featuring near-perfect acoustics.

14h30 Snack on the road

15h30 Mycenae archaeological UNESCO site and museum visit. You will have the chance to visit the famous Cyclopean walls surrounding the triangular acropolis, the Lion Gate which was the symbol of the power of the Mycenaean rulers and the famous vaulted tombs of Atreus and Clytemnestra

18h30 Return to Nafplio

2/ Hiking Tour

A 4-hour hike in Argolis region (two possible routes: on the hills or by the sea, TBD)

Duration: 12h00 to 18h30  (with lunch break)

Program: In this half-day tour you will explore some beautiful natural areas of the Argolis region with our expert mountain guides. Whatever hike shall we pick for you that day, it will be an easy trail, suitable even for beginner/ amateur hikers.

Please wear a comfortable outfit and sneakers/ hiking-walking shoes.
