Nordic String Theory Meeting 2012

Europe/Copenhagen
Description

General Information

The Nordic String Theory Meeting was organized by the High Energy Theory Group of the Niels Bohr Institute and was hosted by the Niels Bohr International Academy.

This workshop continued the tradition of the annual Nordic String Theory Meetings. As in the past, the idea was to have a short but intense meeting of stringy people from "nordic" places Berlin (HU), Bremen (Jacobs), Copenhagen (NBI), Göttingen, Hamburg (Uni/DESY), Hannover, Potsdam (AEI) and possibly some nordophilic people from not so nordic places. Slides of the talks are available online (see the Timetable).

When and Where

The meeting will start at 14:00 on Monday, February 20, and end at 16:00 on Tuesday, February 21. It will be held in the historic Auditorium A at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. The registration deadine is Monday, February 6th. (Note: the deadline for PhD student accommodation is Monday, January 16th)

Scientific Programme

As in previous meetings, the programme will consist of short talks by researchers from the participating institutes. (If you would like to be considered for a talk, you can let us know during registration).

Financial Assistance

There will be financial assistance available to cover accommodation costs for students from the participating Institutes. For more details, please follow the "accommodation" link to the left.

Conference Dinner

A dinner for the participants will be organised on Monday, February 20th. Please indicate during registration whether you would like to participate in the dinner. The estimated cost will be approximately 35 Euros.

Organisers

The meeting is organised by Charlotte Kristjansen, Niels Obers, Donovan Young and Costas Zoubos. The conference secretary is Anna Maria Rey.
